Performance Line-Up for 2007
The 2007 Summer Concert Series presented by Celebrate Frederick is ready to rock the Baker Park Bandshell beginning on Sunday, June 10th and continuing every Sunday evening at 7 p.m. through August 26th. This year's performance line-up features a little bit of everything from jazz to bluegrass to reggae to rock-n-roll to hip hop!
Following is the performance line-up:
June 10 - Incendio - Latin
June 17- Tranzfusion - Classic Rock
June 24 - Tom Principato - Blues
July 1 - Railroad Earth - New Grass
July 8 - Janine Wilson Band - Roots Rock
July 15 - SOJA - Reggae
July 22 - David Bach Consort - Jazz
July 29 - SoulStice - Hip Hop
August 5 - Red Molly - Folk, Bluegrass
August 12 - Great Train Robbery - Classic Rock
August 19 - Laura Bryna and Dusty Drake - Country
August 26 - The Crawdaddies - Zydeco
Plan to arrive early with your blanket or lawn chair, to enjoy a free Carillon performance in Baker Park beginning at 6 p.m. Great snack foods and drinks will be available from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. during the Concert Series performance.
While the concerts are FREE to the public, the Summer Concert Series Committee encourages you to bring a canned food item in lieu of admission. Non-perishable items such as canned meats and vegetables, soups, peanut butter, cereal, rice and pastas are requested. All items collected benefit the Frederick City Community Action Agency Food Bank. Items will be collected at the Drees Homes Information Booth, located at the top of the bandshell steps in Baker Park.
In the event of inclement weather, please tune to 99.9 WFRE, 103.1 WAFY or 106.9 WWEG for news of event cancellation. Due to the travel time and set-up by various artists and the sound production company, decisions regarding weather are made by approx. 4:00 PM. Therefore, if the weather is inclement at this time, listen to the radio for confirmation of the evening's performance being cancelled.
